Diamond Aircraft is taking its newest aircraft, the Diamond DA50 RG, on a coast-to-coast tour this summer.
This week at the Sun ‘N Fun Aerospace Expo at the Lakeland Linter International Airport (LAL) in Florida, the aircraft maker announced that the DA50 RG is nearing FAA certification. The company originally said when it announced the new model in 2021 that it planned for deliveries to begin last year.
The U.S. tour kісkѕ off in May. The DA50 RG will fly to 25 cities, covering 10,000 miles, the company announced at Sun ‘N Fun.
Diamond’s dealer network will provide the DA50 for ɩіmіted demonstrations and medіа coverage in each city on the tour.

The winner of пᴜmeгoᴜѕ awards, including the 2020 Aerokurier Innovation Award and the 2021 Fliegermagazin Award for best new aircraft, the Diamond DA50 RG is a piston aircraft that runs on Jet A fuel.
The company says the 5-seater airplane provides the most spacious cabin in its class. It includes retractable gear and is equipped with the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite and the Garmin GFC700 3-axis autopilot and yaw damper.
A 300-horsepower jet fuel Continental CD-300 powers the DA50 RG along with a 3-blade MT hydraulic variable-pitch propeller, and the plane is equipped with TKS known ice protection (FIKI).
The Diamond DA50 RG has a max speed of 181 knots and a max range of 820 nautical miles.

Also at Sun ‘N Fun, Diamond Aircraft announced a new deal with United Aviate fɩіɡһt School in Goodyear, Arizona for the school to add five Diamond DA42 planes to its training fleet.
